During my time at Harman International, I was honored to work with some of the company’s most brilliant engineers and product owners. And one of these projects was a design of a gaming speaker for JBL. This new piece of technology allowed the user to hear the 3D sound just around their head.
\nI was excited to work on this project. However, once I had the acoustic package on my desk, I knew it would be a challenging task. The acoustic defined pretty much everything in this speaker, and at first, I felt that there is not much room for design. But I was wrong. <\/p>\n
Because of so many limitations, I had limited options to improve the shape, but it also allowed me to move quickly with the design. <\/p>\n
The shape of the acoustic shell reminded me of some spaceship. Once I had this association, I did not care anymore about making it a classy-looking design object. It was about making it gaming looking thing with the most sophisticated technology inside.
